Commercial Component #4 - Commercial Property Policy & Business Income

This course is geared towards those people who have a good understanding of the Commercial Property and Business Income policies and want to gain a higher level of technical expertise in this area.

This course is part of a certificate program called the Ten Components to Commercial Competence. Each course can certainly be taken as a standalone class, but if you are interested in seeing the full series, the courses involved and earning the certification, that information can be found HERE.


In the world of commercial property, you'll learn about:

  • Building and Business Personal Property forms — what they provides, and what property is covered and NOT covered
  • Basic, Broad and Special Cause of Loss forms and the importance of understanding the "vacancy provision"
  • Condo Association forms and the differences between the Building Contents form and Legal Liability Coverage form — and when to use them
  • And other necessary information and endorsements you'll need in order to write Business Income insurance properly.

CLASS TIME:  9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
EXAM*:  4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
CEUs: 7

* The exam is optional, but you must take it and pass in order to receive the certification. CEUs do not require an exam.
