7-Day Law for Registration Transfer Temporarily Extended to 21 Days

    The grace period to register a new vehicle has been extended from 7 days to 21 calendar days from the date a customer loses possession of their previous vehicle.

    Per the Executive Order signed by Governor Baker (COVID-19 Order No. 39), this change will be in effect until August 12th. This date may be updated if the State of Emergency is lifted before August 12.
