FAIR Plan FAQs Explain Clearinghouse for HO Insurers

    The Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association (MPUIA), also known as the FAIR Plan, has undertaken an initiative to depopulate MPIUA in an effort to promote the vitality of the Homeowners Insurance Market. The result of this initiative has been the creation of a Clearinghouse, which is designed to create an avenue for discussion between Participating Insurers and Insurance Agents (Producers) about the insurability of properties currently insured under the FAIR Plan. Many questions that have arisen about the Clearinghouse, and the FAIR Plan has issued an FAQ document to address some of them.
