InsurPac is the non-partisan federal political action committee (PAC) that complements the legislative efforts of our national association, the Big “I.” InsurPac is one of the most effective and well-respected small-business PACs in the country.
“We’re very fortunate to have this powerhouse representing us on Capitol Hill,” says Nick Fyntrilakis, President and CEO of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents. “People look to MAIA as the standard-bearer and it’s imperative that our community continues to lead the way in supporting InsurPac. We are asking each independent insurance agency owner to donate to InsurPac and encourage your staff to do the same.”
What has InsurPac done for you lately?
- Lobbied against a tax provision that would have excluded many agencies and brokerages organized as pass-throughs from a 20% tax deduction.
- Pushed for reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program before it expired on July 31st, protecting agent commissions.
- Opposed amendments to the Farm Bill that would have cut the Federal Crop Insurance Program and capped agent commissions.
- And InsurPac continues to actively represent independent insurance agents' and brokers’ interests on many other ongoing legislative matters!
Massachusetts was InsurPac’s biggest state contributor last year. We’re not there yet this year, but with your help, we’ll do it again.
