Reopening: Template for Creating Written Control Plan

Posted by MAIA on May 19, 2020

All businesses in the state of MA (including those deemed essential, such as insurance agencies) are required to develop a written control plan outlining how the workplace will comply with the mandatory safety standards for operation in the COVID-19 reopening period. The state has created a template that may be filled out to meet that requirement. We encourage agencies to download and complete the template, and keep it on file to document your compliance with mandatory safety standards.

Your written control plan does not need to be submitted for approval, but must be kept on premise and made available in the case of an inspection or outbreak. All individually listed businesses must complete a control plan, even if the business is part of a larger corporation or entity.

The template provides easy checklists to verify your compliance with mandatory safety standards for:

    • Social Distancing
    • Hygiene Protocols
    • Staffing and Operations
    • Cleaning & Disinfecting.
