My insured went to get an inspection and her green plate didn’t pass inspection.
Do I do an RMV3 for her to do a plate swap to a red plate and then leave the info on the new plate info blank on the RMV3?
Please let me know.
Kathy Cormier: Yes. Also if the plate is just faded or cracked the RMV will replace the plate for free. However, if there is other damage to the plates the client will be charged $10 per plate.
Agent: Do the old green plates have to be taken to the registry when you swap?
Kathy Cormier: Yes, if you want a free plate they need to see the damage to the old one.
