Not sure if you can help me or someone else ? I tried finding this in the Registry but couldn’t find out the answer on What situations would you use the Summer/Winter swap box on a RMV1 form ?
Kathy Cormier: A summer/winter swap is just that...you have a car for the summer and change it out in the winter. This is considered a transfer of registration and requires an RMV-1.
Also, it’s important to note that when you have a customer that does a summer/winter swap they need to get a new inspection sticker on the vehicle even if it still looks valid...it’s not.
I hope this helps.
