Is there a tech talk regarding rental of U-Hauls under a MA auto policy

Irene Morrill:  Sorry, no… it is a topic that I bring up in various QA classes on MA Auto.

If its being rented for business there would be no coverage

If it’s rented personal use …say to move

Parts 4 and 5 under the 2008 MAP definitely go as one only needs to be “legally responsible” … and a uhaul is an auto

(2016 MAP definitely Part 5 … hopefully Part 4 – I worry how that coverage goes for ANY vehicle)

Part 6 follows you and HHM occupying someone else’s vehicle …and a Uhaul is a vehicle

Part 7,8,9 will not go under 2008 or 2016 as coverage only applies to “other private passenger autos” and a Uhaul is NOT a private passenger auto
