We are very pleased to announce the following deserving recipients of MAIA awards for 2020. The awards were presented on Friday, November 6th during MAIA’s Annual Meeting, held in conjunction with the virtual Big Event.
- Distinguished Service Award: Raymond D. Gallant, John F. Koegel, and Michael Pangione
The awards were presented to these outgoing Members of the Board of Directors in appreciation of their service and contributions.
- Chairman’s Award: MAIA Young Agents Committee
The YAC was honored for their exemplary efforts cultivating the next generation of leaders for our Association and industry.
- James O. Herrick, Jr. Memorial Young Agent of the Year: Devin Tarpey
Devin was selected as this year’s YA of the Year in recognition of his enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication.
- Henry F. Barry, Jr. Memorial Pacesetter of the Year: Raymond D. Gallant
MAIA’s highest honor, the Pacesetter Award is presented annually to a member who, through their personal and professional life, sets a pace to be followed by their fellow agents. This year’s honoree, Raymond D. Gallant, has done that and more throughout his years of dedicated service to both MAIA and IIABA. Ray has made an immeasurable difference in the lives of independent agents in Massachusetts and across the country, through his leadership on the Board of Directors, including serving as Chairman in 2012, is just one part of Ray’s unwavering support of the Association and the independent agency channel.
