Economic Impact Study to Launch May 1st

Posted by MAIA on April 30, 2018

Every few years MAIA conducts a survey designed to measure the impact of Independent Insurance Agents on the state’s economy. Not surprisingly, past studies have revealed that MAIA members play a significant role in the Commonwealth as employers, taxpayers, consumers and charitable contributors. Our latest study revealed that our members generated over $1 billion in economic impact in Massachusetts.  This statistic has been critically important in advancing your interests on Beacon Hill, within the insurance industry and the media.

With the last data collected in 2015, we believe it is time to again survey our members and obtain current figures.  We need a solid response from our members in order to complete this study.

The 2018 Economic Impact Study Survey will open on May 1st. Agency Principals will receive an email that afternoon with some additional information and a link to complete the survey.

Please be on the lookout for that communication. Your agency’s participation is greatly encouraged, as it allows MAIA to continue to represent the important impact our members have on the state economy.
