Payments that Do Not Cover the Full Amount
Effective March 26, 2018:
As part of the RMV’s transition to the new ATLAS system, multiple payment types cannot be used to pay for a transaction. For example, if a customer has a check that only covers part of the amount, he/she cannot pay the rest using a second check, cash, or a credit/debit card. In this case, the customer would need to use a single payment method that does cover the full amount.
Also, please note that, if a check is made out for an amount higher that the payment, change will not be given. Instead, the customer will be issued a refund.
